Description of Role – Summary
To maintain and improve manufacturing systems and processes in the Moulding Departments as well as within the overall factory. Ensuring that product quality consistently meets the defined standards. Whilst providing assistance with setting housekeeping standards, with a view to ensuring OH&S and environment requirements are maintained at a high standard.

Specialist Skills and Knowledge
- Must have strong English Skills, both verbal and written
- Diploma or Degree in mechanical, manufacturing or production engineering.
- 5-10 years Experience in production or manufacturing engineering environment.
- Mechanical design/drawing skills.
- Strong maintenance and trouble shooting skills
- OHS, safety and quality training.
- Knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding process, and general production systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that product BOMs and routes are maintained and up to date.
- Ensure that all manufacturing aids are available and up to date, including the following; Product drawings, Set up sheets, Standard operation sheets, master samples, Boundary samples and Gauging.
- Carry out Moulding trials and give actionable feedback on modifications need to ensure the part is within design specification.
- Assist in maintaining and developing tooling specifications in Moulding department.
- Ensure that all manufacturing support aids are correctly referenced in D365, e.g. set up sheet data and mould tool locations.
- Sign off on all 1st off parts which are new to PT. Ronstan International Batam.
- Assist with developing and maintaining a safe, clean and secure 5S work environment.
- Assist with setup of new production systems, as they are introduced, both new and transferred systems.
- Ensure that all quality and safety concerns are recorded accurately, and that clear corrective actions are identified and enacted.
- Provide technical support to Production in terms of trouble shooting processing problems.
- Provide actionable feedback that can be provided to Melbourne design department as and when clear design issues are identified.
- Provide assistance to Production to help improve overall efficiency including the reduction of set up times, improvement of cycle times and minimise ongoing running costs.
- Assist with Processing manufacturing and design change notes, at the direction of the Manufacturing manager
- Assist with receipt and sign off of all deliveries of stock and production systems, where requested to do so.
- Liaise and coordinate with external suppliers and service providers for technical issues where requested to do so.
- Assist in the maintenance of all machines in the Manufacturing Department including trouble shooting issues and carrying out scheduled and re-active maintenance.
- Carry out other duties in the manufacturing department as assigned or delegated by the Production Engineering Manager.
- Assist in providing information requested when quoting new jobs.
- Assist during specification process of new machines and tooling.
- Assist in the training and development of all employees.
Shared Responsibilities
- As part of the Production Engineering team, you are responsible for ensuring that all production data, systems and aids are in place and always available.
- As part of the Production Engineering team, you are to assist with delivering product to specification and on time.
- Be responsible for the quality of own work and perform quality checks on work of others to quality system and production guidelines.
- Comply with the legal and ethical standards and the policies, procedures and practices that support daily business conduct.
- Comply with all Occupational Health, Safety and Environment regulations, policies and procedures.
